Resumes, cover letters, thank you letters and other related correspondence are critical elements of the internship/job search process and even the graduate/professional school application process. Whether you are a first-time resume writer or seasoned cover letter author, the CDO has a variety of resources to support you in crafting the best possible documents:

Resume and Job Search Correspondence Guide

To get started with resume and cover letter writing, take a look at our popular Resume and Job Search Correspondence Guide. Here, you’ll find sample resumes and letters based on real Vassar students and lots of great advice to get started.

Resume and Cover Letter Critiques

We strongly recommend having your resume and cover letters reviewed before sending them out. Once you have a draft, stop by the office to meet with a Career Assistant or drop in with Counselor for feedback. If you are bringing in a cover letter, please bring a copy of the job/internship description you are applying to.

Not on campus? Feel free to email your document(s) to in MS Word or compatible format, and a staff member will get back to you.
