Students may request overloads (>4.5) by petitioning the Committee on Leaves and Privileges. First-semester, first-year students can\u2019t overload. Underloads (&lt;3.5) are granted only in special circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Dates for the Fall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add deadline: <strong>September 9<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Last day to drop: <strong>October 10<\/strong> (one week before fall break)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NRO deadline\/course withdrawal deadline: <strong>November 7<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preregistration for spring courses: <strong>November 10-21<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dean of Studies Office\/Dean of First-Year Students Office<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>(located in Main Building N-128, next to the Registrar\u2019s Office)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a student is struggling in your class or goes missing and has not dropped the course, send an Academic Report Card (ARC) to me or the appropriate class advisor.
