Additionally, coursework taught at a high school, rather than on a college campus, is not transferable. All prematriculation courses must have been taught by a college professor, on a college campus, amongst other college students. If courses were taught online, at a high school, and\/or taught by a high school teacher, they are not transferable per Vassar\u2019s transfer policy. For more information on Vassar's prematriculation transfer policy, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/catalogue.vassar.edu\/content.php?catoid=52&amp;navoid=10665#Pre-matriculation_Credit\">College Catalogue<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nHow do I send&nbsp;a score report for exam based units?\n<\/summary>\n<p>In order to request your AP score report to be sent to Vassar, you will need to log into your College Board account and follow their directions to have your scores sent. For further questions, please contact College Board. IB scores need to be shared with the college.&nbsp;&nbsp;Students may transfer up to two units of exam based units.&nbsp; Please review the <a href=\"https:\/\/catalogue.vassar.edu\/content.php?catoid=52&amp;navoid=10665#Pre-matriculation_Credit\">college catalogue<\/a> for further information on requirements for the transfer of exam based units. For any additional questions regarding exam based units, please contact the Dean of Studies Office.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nHow do I send a transcript for review?\n<\/summary>\n<p>If you believe your prematriculation courses meet Vassar\u2019s transfer policy or you need to send a transcript from an approved domestic study away, you can request your transcript to be sent in the following ways:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If possible, send all transcripts digitally to <a href=\"mailto:dos@vassar.edu\">dos@vassar.edu<\/a>. Study abroad transcripts should be sent to the Office of International Programs.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nHow is my class year determined?\n<\/summary>\n<p>All traditional first year students will be assigned a class year based on the year they begin at Vassar. Transfer students will receive a class year based on the number of transfer units. Students will remain with their class year as long as they remain on track to complete their degree requirements. If a student does not have the required earned units, or has not otherwise completed a requirement by its deadline, the student may be reclassified. Students who have questions about the reclassification process should email or call the Dean of Studies office.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nWhat are the college-wide graduation requirements?\n<\/summary>\n<p>All graduates must comply with the First-Year Writing Seminar requirement, the Quantitative Course requirement, and the foreign language proficiency requirement. Additionally, all students must complete at least 50 percent of 16 units outside their major field of concentration and at least 25 percent or 8 units outside their major division. While students can transfer up to 2 exam based units, they are not permitted to count toward the fulfillment of the required outside major or outside division requirements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nWhat is the deadline to declare a major or correlate?\n<\/summary>\n<p>All students must declare their major no later than the end of their sophomore year. Students may declare a correlate up to the end of preregistration phase 1 in the fall of their senior year. Students who wish to change their major as a junior or senior must also receive permission from the Dean of Studies Office.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nWhat is CLP and what does the committee do?\n<\/summary>\n<p>Administered through the Dean of Studies Office, the Committee on Leaves and Privileges (CLP) reviews all requests for academic leaves of absence, special privilege with respect to curricular requirements, acceleration etc. All requests submitted to CLP must be reviewed by the advisor; requests for academic leaves and for acceleration must be accompanied by proposed academic programs reviewed and evaluated by the adviser. Examples of common requests made to CLP include overloads, underloads, and yearlong course exceptions. Please complete the appropriate request form found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/offices.vassar.edu\/dean-of-studies\/forms-requests\/\">Dean of Studies website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nHow do I declare a double major?\n<\/summary>\n<p>Any student who wishes to declare a double major must complete the appropriate double major request form which can be found on the Dean of Studies website. In order to declare a double major, students must have first completed two courses in each of the majors being requested. Additionally, they must complete and have approved a plan for completing all major requirements and college-wide graduation requirements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nHow long will it take for a CLP request to be reviewed?\n<\/summary>\n<p>CLP meets regularly during the academic year. Requests will ordinarily receive a response within one to two weeks after they have been submitted and all necessary approvals are provided. CLP does not meet during college breaks, including winter break or summer break. Any request submitted during this time will be held until the next CLP meeting. For questions regarding CLP requests, please email <a href=\"mailto:CLP@vassar.edu\">CLP@vassar.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nHow do I apply for domestic Study Away?\n<\/summary>\n<p>Students apply for a domestic study away through the Dean of Studies Office. Applications for most study away programs are due the first Monday in December for both the following fall and spring terms; the application can be found on the DoS website. Information on the various study away and dual degree programs can be found on our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/offices.vassar.edu\/dean-of-studies\/domestic-programs\/\">website<\/a>. Students wishing to apply for international study away should contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/offices.vassar.edu\/international-programs\/contact\/\">Office of International Programs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n<details class=\"dropdownizer__dropdown\"><summary>\nCan I NRO a course after the NRO deadline?\n<\/summary>\n<p>Students may elect a maximum of 4 units of work under the Non-Recorded Option. For transfer students, 1 unit reduces this limit for each year of advanced standing awarded to the student.
