Vassar to launch Workday system for all employee human resources uses on March 20, training sessions and materials now available

Vassar will begin using Workday as its information management system for payroll, benefits, and other human resources (HR) purposes on March 20, 2017. Workday will replace the current Banner system for HR, as well as the use by some employees of paper forms to complete timesheets and request time off.

Vassar employees will use Workday for different tasks depending upon their different jobs. Employee training on Workday will therefore be in a small group of people who share a similar job role or who are members of the same union.

Training sessions will be held during business hours so employees will be able to use paid time to attend. Schedules will be posted in departments and offices, and in the Training Schedule section of the Workday project website. Employees should use the website to sign up for training, or talk to their supervisor about which session to attend.

At the Vassar’s Workday project site you can find guide sheets to read and print out in the Training Materials section. Handouts will also be provided at training sessions. Questions about Workday can be emailed to workday@vassar.edu
