Facilities Operations is responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all campus facilities. This includes operations and maintenance of our building electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, paint, locksmith services, fire life safety, general maintenance and custodial operations.

Vassar College is committed to a policy of energy efficiency and conservation in its facilities and operations. This policy identifies energy conservation as a significant issue for the entire campus community and outlines steps to conserve energy and reach the energy and sustainability goals of the College.

The Green Building Guidelines were developed to help shape Vassar’s path to carbon neutrality by 2030. They are consulted during the planning process for all major projects.
