(It\u2019s less than a five minute walk away, along a beautifully curated path through a playground\u2014perfect for families\u2014and picnic area.) The apartment is on the ground floor of the newest faculty apartment building, constructed less than three years ago. As such, the unit has a full kitchen\/modern appliances (microwave, oven, fridge, air-fryer\/toaster oven, blender, kettle, broad counters); laundry room (with washer\/dryer); a living room; 1.5 bathrooms; and 2 bedrooms. Each has its own closets, with ample space; there\u2019s a spare storage room off one of the bedrooms, to boot. A storage unit is likewise available. The apartment is also fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. It\u2019s fully furnished, including a couch, coffee table, recliner, lamps\u2014though there\u2019s good lighting generally: e.g., a big window shines into the living room\u2014two beds (one full-sized; the other, a futon), and more. The apartment is quiet\u2014I\u2019ve never been disturbed by ambient noise\u2014but allows for ready community with colleagues in the building and nearby faculty townhouses. It\u2019s also easily accessible to the scenic, beautifully idyllic Vassar Farm. Down the hall is the building gym. The apartment building includes ready, widely available parking. The rent is $2,150, including utilities\/Internet (though if that\u2019s prohibitive and you\u2019re interested, contact me, and we\u2019ll figure something out). One of the bedrooms has a queen-sized bed, and the other is currently set up as a TV room, but it has a comfortable queen-sized sofa bed. The apartment is fully furnished and thoughtfully decorated, with plenty of storage, central air, high-speed internet, dishwasher, washer and dryer in the unit, and a fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances. Pets are not allowed. The building was completed three years ago, and is smoke-free and ADA compliant, with plenty of parking, EV charging stations, an elevator, and a shared gym.
