I am pleased to announce that Ethan Buckner ’13 an International Studies major, received the Udall Scholarship this year!

This competition was created to encourage outstanding students to pursue careers related to the environment and to encourage outstanding Native American and Alaska Native students to pursue careers related to healthcare and tribal public policy and to foster excellence in those fields. The Udall Foundation will provide approximately 80 Udall Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each.

This scholarship is open to students who are US citizens or permanent resident aliens who are full-time sophomores or juniors in the 2010-2011 academic year. They must also have a grade point average of at least a “B” and be in the upper quarter of the class. We may nominate up to six students intending to pursue careers related to the environment or to healthcare and tribal public policy.
