Fellowships

Vassar College

Many of our fellowship applications use a standardized application form, which may require the applicant to upload some form of documentation.

There are some national fellowships that have their own application system which will require that supporting documentation be uploaded directly through that system; the instructions on how to submit an application for each of the fellowships can be found on the respective webpages.

Please be sure to visit the Vassar webpage associated with the fellowship to which you are applying for detailed application instructions.

Academic transcripts and class schedules: For most applications, an unofficial transcript is adequate; simply save a copy of your unofficial transcript (and class schedule, if requested) from AskBanner as a PDF. If an application requires an official transcript, you may obtain one from the Registrar’s Office.

Budget forms: Refer to the respective fellowship application for details about required budget forms.

Letters of recommendation: For many applications, you will request letters of recommendation from within the application portal; refer to the Vassar website for the fellowship for more details.

Resume/CV: Most applications will require a resume or CV; refer to the CCE’s recommended templates for more information.

Short-answer/essay responses: Refer to a fellowship’s application for specific instructions. Check out Writing Personal Statements Online for advice and samples.
