Fellowships

Vassar College

Through the goodwill of the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in New York, Vassar College has been invited to nominate two Vassar College students to receive the “Chinese Government Scholarship” to study Chinese language or related disciplines in the Chinese Institutions of higher education.

The scholarship allows the selected Vassar students to study either Mandarin language in a university-affiliated language training center, or an academic field in a degree-granting program, at one of the 115 universities and colleges located all over China which are approved by CSC. The recipient of the scholarship will be entitled to a tuition waiver, living allowance, and medical insurance. Recipients shall cover their own round-trip international travel expenses.

Applicants should identify one academic program and three institutions from the list provided by the Ministry of Education (below). The CSC will place selected applicants at an institution. While every effort is made to place students at one of their top three choices (in order of preference), applicants should note that they could be placed at an alternate institution.
