The committee encourages proposals where initial funding holds promise for continuing funding from external granting agencies as well as research that falls outside the purview of external funding agencies. In awarding research funds, the committee takes into account the likelihood of the project resulting in a finished product: the publication of a scholarly article or book, the successful completion of a work of art, the mounting of an art exhibition, or a dramatic production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proposal Application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-note-dHG8S wp-block-lazyblock-note\"><div class=\"module module--box module--note note--info\">\n        <h2 class=\"module__title\"><\/h2>\n        <div class=\"module__content\">\n    \n        <div class=\"module__text deadlines__date\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/sZXzkDmyXMYzpY6a7\">Research Committee Proposal Form<\/a><\/strong><br>The deadline for Spring 2026 applications is Friday, March 27, 2026. All faculty members, whether tenured, on tenure track, or emeriti are eligible to apply.   In addition, those on a continuing contract, halftime or more, are also eligible; research must be complete before the contract ends.  <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    \n    <\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-note-Z18dDuG wp-block-lazyblock-note\"><div class=\"module module--box module--note note--info\">\n        <h2 class=\"module__title\"><\/h2>\n        <div class=\"module__content\">\n    \n        <div class=\"module__text deadlines__date\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/K4H9gM1Fzf1kV6dy9\">Research Committee $15,000 <\/a><\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: revert;, sans-serif;color: initial\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/K4H9gM1Fzf1kV6dy9\">Proposal <\/a><\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/K4H9gM1Fzf1kV6dy9\">Form<\/a><\/strong><br>The deadline for Spring 2026 applications is Friday, April 10, 2026. Tenure-track faculty, emeriti, and lecturers<span style=\", sans-serif;color: initial\"> <\/span><span style=\", sans-serif;font-size: revert;color: initial\">are eligible to apply.
