We organize Workshops each semester with editors about book proposal writing and academic publishing, as well as more public-facing writing and publishing; we also organize library research workshops tailored to the interests of faculty members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We offer awards for a select number of individual faculty members interested in Professional Editing services\u2013both line editing and developmental editing, intended for faculty at all stages of their publishing careers. We provide support for a Manuscript Review Program for a small number of individual faculty who are near completion of a manuscript and would benefit from an intensive review of a manuscript before sending it to a press. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, we sponsor selected faculty three times each year (fall, spring, summer) to participate in the Faculty Success Program (FSP), a writing \u201cbootcamp\u201d of sorts that is organized and run by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncfdd.org\/home\">NCFDD<\/a>&nbsp;(National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity), of which Vassar is an institutional member. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSf9RXtCAhA4OwakPMu6bsjwHYqF_DtJEYGQiiPlwvRrsEyijQ\/viewform?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=103489113060276158023\">Apply for the Faculty Success Program (FSP)\u2014Summer 2026<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the Dean of Faculty sponsors a variety of programs and awards each year to support faculty research development.
