NIH MD/PhD Intramural Partnership Program
This program offers training, activities and funding for MD/PhD students who conduct their Ph.D. research in the intramural research program of the National Institutes of Health in preparation for a career as a physician-investigator in basic or translational science. Students earn the Ph.D. degree through Individual Partnerships with their medical school or through NIH Institutional Graduate Partnerships (GPP). The NIH intramural program has over 1000 laboratories doing cutting edge biomedical research in a wide range of fields at its main campus in Bethesda, MD and a number of satellite locations.
