Resources for Letter Writers
Current Vassar students and alumni who are applying with the support of the Vassar College premedical advisory committee are asked to open a file, completing a necessary confidentiality form, in the Office for Fellowships and Pre-Health Advising; applicants are required to request letters of recommendation through this office.
Writers should receive a request (usually via email) from this office outlining how to submit their letter of recommendation as well as what is helpful in a letter of recommendation for medical school. The guidelines from the AAMC listed below are included in that request. Letters should be submitted to fellowships@vassar.edu as well as in hard copy, signed, on letterhead to box 122.
Any questions about this process should be directed to the fellowships@vassar.edu or by calling (845) 437-5263.
