The purposes of inspections are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>to ensure that students are following <a href=\"\/dean-of-the-college\/documents\/college-regulations\/\"><em>College Regulations<\/em><\/a> in regard to occupancy<\/li><li>to check safety precautions (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, illegal appliances)<\/li><li>to confirm College inventory<\/li><li>to report any damage or change in the condition of the room\/apartment<\/li><li>At the time of inspection, the College also has the right to confiscate and\/or report billing for:<ul><li>any missing or misappropriated item from the Houses (such as house furniture)<\/li><li>damaged College property<\/li><li>illegal substances (drugs, paraphernalia, illegal weapons, etc.)<\/li><li>illegal appliances in the room<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspections can occur with or without your presence.
