Forces video embeds contained in dropdowns to have a size --><style>.dropdownizer__dropdown iframe { width: 100% !important; height: 100% !important; }<\/style>\n<p>Many of the day-to-day needs of the residential community are provided by the Residential Operations Center (commonly known as the ROC), located on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> floor of Main Building across from C 110.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ROC is where we perform a wide range of services on behalf of Vassar students, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lockouts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Key loans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VSA organization keys within the dorms or houses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow up on service requests\u2014only after it\u2019s been submitted to Facilities Operations via TMA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receives floral deliveries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students can sign out handcarts, shovels, vacuums, and small tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ROC staff perform daily rounds of the residential houses to ensure all common area furniture is accounted for and that nothing is out of place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We inspect vacant rooms once a student moves out or changes rooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform health and safety inspections of the houses during winter and spring breaks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We assist with the annual Fire Safety Inspections alongside the N.Y. State Office of Fire Prevention and Control Officer and a representative of Facilities Operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are responsible for maintaining the condition of the common area and room furnishings. The Inventory Control Attendant works with an outside vendor for furnishings repairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We stamp and approve postings to hang in the residential houses only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are the liaison between Facilities Operations regarding service, daily maintenance requests, and building upgrades of the house\/apartment areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are experiencing any issues with your room, <a href=\"https:\/\/offices.vassar.edu\/residential-life\/contact\/\">call us or email us<\/a>.
