When the student account shows a positive balance that amount is owed to the College, and when it shows a negative balance, an overpayment has occurred and the student may request a refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group section-breakout--width-full has-cream-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How will I be billed?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vassar does not mail paper statements. Instead, Vassar sends notifications of on-demand statements to students and authorized users monthly. On-demand statements provide real-time details on charges and payments to your student account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fall semester statements will be sent on <strong>July 15th<\/strong>. Students will be notified by email to access the Student Account Portal so they can view the statement, make a payment, or set up a payment plan. The fall statement will include charges for tuition, fees, housing, food, tuition insurance, and health insurance, and will reflect the financial aid you are expected to receive as anticipated credits. If you incur other charges throughout the semester, you will receive a monthly email notification to review your <a href=\"https:\/\/secure3.touchnet.com\/C20911_tsa\/web\/agreement_consent.jsp\">Student Account<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spring semester statements will be generated on or around <strong>December 15th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visualizing your student account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an example of the on-demand statement. The Family Contribution listed on your aid offer is for the full academic year, so you should expect to pay half in the fall and half in the spring. Please note that the amount due may differ depending on additional insurance or other one-time fees, such as the transcript fee.
