This program is designed as a young preschool group for children turning three and newly three. The new preschooler has just emerged from toddlerhood and is transitioning into the world of social play and pretend. This multi-sensory play-based environment promotes the child’s developing identity, belonging, friendship and empathy. Careful attention is given to supporting the child’s budding autonomy and increasing independence. Teachers consider the whole child and integrate goals around literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, perspective taking, self expression and social-emotional intelligence into developmentally appropriate materials, play, and projects.
