SAVP Advocates (formerly SART) is a team of administrators and faculty trained to assist students who have been affected by sexual assault, relationship abuse, or stalking. Contact SAVP by calling <a href=\"tel:+18454377333\"><a href=\"tel:+18454377333\">(845) 437-7333<\/a><\/a>, or emailing the SAVP coordinator, <a href=\"mailto:ajasso@vassar.edu\">Allison Jasso<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CARES<\/strong>&nbsp;is Vassar\u2019s organization to provide peer-to-peer support for students affected by any sort of personal violation issue, no matter where it happened, when it happened, or who it happened to.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"\/student-engagement\/\"><strong>Student Growth and Engagement Office<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;offers educational programs, resources, and student advising to enhance the quality of campus life. We promote equity, access, and cultural pluralism with the goal of helping students and others work toward a diverse and inclusive campus community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"\/alana\/\">Jeh Vincent Johnson ALANA Cultural Center<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;offers programs, resources, and student advising to enhance the academic, campus life, and residential experiences of African American\/Black, Latino, Asian American, and Native American students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/international-services\/\">International Student Services<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;assists international students and scholars in adjusting to a new culture and provides information and advice in all aspects of college life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"\/lgbtq\/\">LGBTQ Center<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;enhances the campus life experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students and their allies by providing social, cultural, and academic programming; fostering strong leaders; highlighting Vassar\u2019s unique history; and engaging the entire campus in discussions of social justice and inclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/health-services\/services\/\"><strong>Women\u2019s and Men\u2019s Health Centers<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;are part of Health Services and offer specialized care to Vassar students. For Men\u2019s Health Services call the Health Services line at <a href=\"tel:+18454375800\">(845) 437-5800<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/counseling-service\/\"><strong>Counseling Services (Metcalf House)<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;provides free and confidential psychological assistance to Vassar students. A variety of services are offered including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, educational programs, consultations, assessments, and referrals to off-campus mental health professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"\/health-promotion-and-education\/\"><strong>Office of Health Education<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;provides Vassar with a variety of educational opportunities for health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/offices.vassar.edu\/institutional-equity\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/offices.vassar.edu\/institutional-equity\/\">Office for Institutional Equity<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;oversees the College\u2019s compliance with Title IX, equal opportunity, and other state and federal civil rights laws. Students, faculty, administrators, and staff may contact the office to request guidance on Vassar\u2019s grievance procedures for alleged discrimination, harassment, or sexual harassment on the basis of race, color, religious belief, sex, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national or ethnic origin, veteran status or age.
