Latinx Heritage Month Kickoff

In recognition of 2022 LHM Latinx Heritage month, Vassar College’s, Jeh Vincent Johnson ALANA Cultural Center is sponsoring several events along with campus partners as part of this celebration.

Latinx Heritage Month also known as National Hispanic Heritage Month is nationally celebrated from September 15 to October 15. These dates hold a special significance in the Latinx/Hispanic community as they commemorate the anniversaries of the independence dates of several Latinx American countries, including Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, among others. LMH honors the rich legacy, traditions, contributions and achievements made by Latinx/Hispanic individuals and communities.
