Kosher for Passover Food on Campus
- Kosher station at Gordon Commons is open for lunch and dinner. The meals at the Deece WILL NOT contain kitniyot. There will also be a small refrigerator at kosher with various Kosher for Passover breakfast options throughout the week.
- The Bayit will be kashered for Passover this year. We ARE allowing kitniyot out of the Bayit.
- Root at Gordon Commons while not a hechered kosher station, Root is entirely vegan and throughout Passover will serve Kosher for Passover style food that DOES contain kitniyot.
The Omer
Starting the second night of Passover (Sunday April 13th), we begin counting the omer, 40 days from Passover (liberation) to Shavuot (revelation). There are many Omer counting apps, journaling prompts, and other ways of tapping into a more focused spiritual practice during the Omer. If you would like resources email me, bryanmann@vassar.edu.
Happy Passover!
