Civic Engagement

Vassar College

Vassar engages with the community in many ways. The directions below will help you understand more about us.

For information on campus resources and use of campus facilities, please contact the Campus Activities Office.

If you represent a community organization and are interested in offering a student a community-engaged learning placement or a summer Community Fellow, please contact Community Engaged Learning at (845) 437-5280.

If you are interested in recruiting student volunteers for your organization, please contact jcbradley@vassar.edu and we will make students aware of such opportunities.

If you have any other questions about Vassar’s role in the community, you may e-mail civicengagement@vassar.edu.

“How do I get involved with the community?”

Vassar students interact with the community in various ways. As a student, you may explore the Community Engaged Learning program. As a student, staff, or faculty member you may decide to volunteer in the community and that can take place through working directly with a community organization, working through a student-directed organization, or working with a Vassar sponsored program.
