Get ready to nominate your favorite non-profit for the 26th Community Works campaign! The nomination form officially opens on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 and closes on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

What to Know:

• Only current Vassar College employees can submit a nomination.
• All eligible organizations must present documentation of their tax-exempt status and adhere to Vassar’s non-discrimination policy in the provision of services and in regard to their staff and volunteers to be considered. 
• Nominees will be reviewed and selected by the Community Works Committee in early October and announced online by October 8, 2026.

The 25th Community Works fundraising campaign began on October 15, 2025 and ended December 31, 2025. Our goal was to raise $85,000. We received a total combined one-time donations and payroll pledges in the amount of $76,030.

Community Works is Vassar’s annual giving campaign for local non-profit organizations. We are celebrating 25 Years! Funded by donations from employees, trustees, and students, Community Works has provided over $1 million in grants to over 50 different groups since its inception in 2001.

Recipients are selected each year by an employee committee based upon nominations from Vassar College employees. And 100% of your contribution goes to support the local groups working to make our community a better place—the College pays for all of the campaign’s administrative costs.
