About Cushing House

Built in 1927 in a half-timbered style with leaded windows and a slate roof, Cushing House feels more like an English manor house than a dormitory. Its U-shaped design creates an open courtyard with lovely views of the campus arboretum. Cushing was named in honor of Florence Cushing, class of 1874, who was the first alumna to serve on the Board of Trustees.
