Latinx Heritage Month 2022 Kickoff

Thursday, September 15th at 6:30 p.m. in the Villard

The Jeh Vincent Johnson ALANA Cultural Center and Latinx Students’ Union, extend the invitation to all to join us in kicking-off Latinx Heritage Month. This year’s theme is “Be Proud of Our Past Embrace Our Future.” There will be student performances, faculty and administrative keynotes, a local community dance performance, music, delicious food, giveaways, and good vibes!

This year’s program included:

Opening remarks by Dr. Nicole Beveridge, Director of the ALANA Center.

Culinary Exploration—Cooking Demo

Tuesday, September 21st at noon in front of the College Center.

Join us in celebrating Latinx Heritage Month with a special cooking demo by Chef David Cruz, owner of Reconnect Foods! Learn how to make a tortilla from scratch, participate hands-on, and enjoy a food tasting.
