Dean of Strategic Planning and Academic Resources

Vassar College

Working closely with the other senior officers of the college, the dean of strategic planning and academic resources is responsible for coordinating the college’s long-term planning efforts.

The areas reporting to the dean include the Vassar College Libraries, the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, Athletics and Physical Education, Wimpfheimer Nursery School, the Infant and Toddler Center, the faculty housing program, academic facilities, the Office of Sustainability, the Ecological Preserve, and the Exploring Transfer program.

In supervising the academic support areas, our mission is to ensure and to strengthen their integration into Vassar’s learning and teaching missions. In coordinating long-term planning for the college, the office promotes a vision of an educational community in which we collaboratively establish our priorities in keeping with a wide-spread understanding of the goals of a liberal arts education.
