Student Leader
The Foundations Student Leader position is a leadership opportunity for students who identify as first-generation and low-income. Selected student leaders will:
- Complete a student leader training August 14–17, 2025. Move-In on August 14th.
- Participate and lead activities at Foundations: Vassar Immersion in Liberal Arts (August 18-23, 2025)
- Provide mentorship for first-year FLI students
- Conduct routine meetings/check-ins with their student group until October Break.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for students with questions about navigating campus resources and how to connect to support.
- Peer facilitate SPOT meetups
This position does not count as campus hourly employment. Rather, each student leader receives a small stipend. After reviewing all submitted applications, you will receive communication from Michelle Quock, the Director of the FLI Program, or Cyrenius Fitzjohn, Program Manager of FLI, if you are selected to move forward to an interview (held between February 19–26).
