October 2024 Sexual Violence Campus Climate Survey Results
Vassar College has released the results of its October 2024 Sexual Violence Campus Climate Survey, offering an in-depth look at students’ experiences and perceptions related to safety, education, and prevention efforts on campus.
The survey provides valuable insight into how students view the overall safety of the campus environment, the effectiveness and accessibility of education and training programs, and individual experiences with sexual violence and harassment. It also highlights students’ perspectives on bystander awareness and intervention, helping to identify both strengths and areas that require continued attention and improvement.
The findings are intended to inform ongoing prevention, response, and support initiatives and to guide institutional efforts to foster a safer, more inclusive campus community. By sharing these results publicly, the College aims to promote transparency, accountability, and meaningful dialogue among students, faculty, and staff.
The full survey results are now available on the College’s website for community review.
In addition, a campus-wide presentation will be held on May 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m in the Class of 1951 Classroom in the Library, where members of the community will have the opportunity to learn more about the findings, ask questions, and discuss next steps.
Members of the campus community are encouraged to review the report and participate in the upcoming presentation as part of a collective effort to strengthen campus safety and support systems.
