Buddhist Sangha
Buddhist Sangha (word for community) is for people who practice or are curious about Zen Buddhism, or any sect of Buddhist teachings (dharma). The group meets in Pratt House for sitting meditation, chanting, and discussion on Monday evenings at 7 p.m., Tuesday mornings at 8 a.m., and Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. Instructions on how to sit are offered to newcomers. Buddhist Sangha also takes periodic trips to Zen Mountain Monastery (ZMM), sponsors dharma talks and provides a forum to share questions, experiences and information related to Buddhist thought and practice. Please contact Buddhist Sangha with any questions. Buddhist Sangha is a recognized organization within the Vassar Student Association.
