Christian Communities

Christian students are invited to reach out to RSLCP Staff and Affiliates for support:

Several Christian communities on campus, both Protestant and Roman Catholic, are recognized organizations within the Vassar Student Association:

Apostolos Missions (AM)

Apostolos Missions (AM) Vassar is a chapter of Apostolos Missions International, an interdenominational ministry committed to proclaiming the Gospel through building a Christ-centered network of Christian youth. Following this vision, AM Vassar aims to gather students eager to explore and embrace God’s purpose and calling for their lives at Vassar College and beyond. By integrating AM’s 5-Phase Bible Study Program with hands-on mission practice, AM Vassar provides a pathway to nurture personal growth and spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ. AM Vassar meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Building Gold Parlor. Please contact AM Vassar for more information.

Episcopal Church at Vassar College (ECVC)

The Episcopal Church at Vassar College (ECVC) sponsors a weekly Sunday Worship in the Vassar Chapel at 4 p.m., followed by dinner at Pratt House at 5 p.m. All Christians or folks curious about Christianity are welcome — we are an inclusive, queer-affirming group!

Vassar Catholic Community (VCC)

The Vassar Catholic Community (VCC) works to deepen and enrich the religious, spiritual, and contemplative life of Roman Catholics at Vassar and anyone who is interested in or has questions about Catholicism. The group is a VSA organization whose activities focus on faith, community life, and social justice. We strive to make mass accessible to all students by providing on-campus mass at least once a month and shuttles to off-campus mass all other Sundays. Please contact VCC to be notified of the mass schedule and other VCC events or for more information.

Vassar Christian Fellowship (VXF)

The Vassar Christian Fellowship (VXF) is Vassar College’s chapter of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship/USA. Intervarsity’s vision is “to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed.” As part of Intervarsity, VXF seeks to establish and advance witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus by growing in love for God, God’s Word, and God’s people from every ethnicity and culture. VXF meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the second floor Meditation and Prayer Room at Pratt House. Please contact VXF for more information.
