Student Employment Updates

2026 Wage Update

Dear students,

Please be advised that the minimum wage for student employees will increase from $15.50 to $16.00 effective January 1, 2026.

This wage increase will apply to both Academic Year and Break jobs. For a full list of Payroll Deadlines, students and supervisors can use our Payroll Calendar.

This wage increase will not impact any Student Employment Policies. Students in Student Employment-funded jobs may continue to work up to 120 hours per semester during the Academic Year. Students in jobs not funded by Student Employment may continue to work up to 20 hours per week.

Student Employment Feedback

The Student Employment Office is looking for feedback in an effort to continue improving our processes. Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey and let us know about your experiences!

Reminder: Academic Year jobs will end on 12/19/25 and will resume on 1/21/26.

Students are permitted to continue working through the end of the semester on 12/19. Please be sure to communcate with your supervisor as class schedules transition through the end of the semester if you need any changes made to your work schedule.

Students must be hired into a Winter Break job in JobX before they work any hours over Winter Break (1/2-1/20/26). If you have not yet been hired into a job that you know will be working this Winter, please ask your supervisor to hire you as soon as possible.

The full Job Registration Calendar for 2025-2026 can be found on our website.
