Off-Campus Employers

The Student Employment Office helps facilitate the hiring of eligible Vassar students in Community Service Work-Study (CSWS) positions. Through CSWS, students who are Federal Work-Study eligible have the opportunity to work at local nonprofits or public sector organizations that provide services to benefit the local community. Education is the primary focus of this program, with job placements in tutoring, literacy, after-school programs, community advocacy, elder care, and the like. Students are expected to attend orientation, training, and reflection/evaluation programs as part of their hours worked.
