Vassar College Ticket Fund 2024-2025

The Vassar Ticket Fund (VTF) facilitates the Vassar community’s attendance of theatrical performances both on Broadway, off-Broadway and regionally in an effort to expand on coursework.

At the direction of the Fund’s Administrators, ticket requests are approved according to the following priorities:

  1. Trips organized by the Drama Department Faculty and Staff to expand on course work.
  2. Trips organized by other departments to expand on course work.
  3. Drama majors and Drama students currently enrolled in Drama department courses attending educational productions on their own initiative in connection with a specific course and with permission of respective faculty member.
  4. Non-Drama majors attending educational productions on their own initiative in connection with a specific course. (This option will be available later in the academic year)

As of January 1, 2025, the Application to apply for funds for the 2024-25 academic year is closed.

Please note:

TRAIN TICKETS on Metro North Railroad (the commuter train servicing the NY metro area) will be pre-purchased by Vassar Ticket Fund staff. ALL train tickets will be available for pick-up at the Campus Activities Office five (5) days before the performance. Please provide your VCTF confirmation and a Vassar I.D. to pick up your tickets. Please do not send someone in your place to pick up tickets or other items. 

DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE. We cannot reimburse for tickets already purchased. 

The individual who submits the request for two or more people will be considered the “lead” on the trip. All information regarding tickets and travel will be directed to this person and they will be responsible for picking up the tickets for themselves and their group.

MEALS ARE NOT INCLUDED or reimbursable for student excursions. Please bring a bagged lunch/dinner/snack prior to your trip or arrange to find a meal at your destination.
