Co-curricular Activities

Co-curricular activities are a critical social and developmental component of any college experience. Vassar students are empowered to take control of their interests and passions, through the many student organizations and leadership opportunities available on campus. By taking on leadership positions, students develop many transferable skills and relevant life experiences for their post-graduate careers.

Student Activities Resource Center (SARC)

The Student Activities Resource Center (SARC) is the central hub for all student event planning on Campus. All Student events on campus are scheduled through the Student Activities Resource Center. The center is staffed by 9 Interns trained in all facets of event planning and execution. Each Vassar Student Association (VSA) organization is assigned a SARC Intern for the year, who will help them throughout the year to achieve their goals.

Please visit the SARC in the College Center North Atrium.

The SARC is open Monday–Thursday, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., and Friday 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Vassar Student Association (VSA)

The Vassar Student Association (VSA) is the primary student representative body at the College. The VSA manages the Student Activities Fee, creating an exciting opportunity where all Vassar events are planned by students, for students. The VSA is comprised of over 170 student organizations who organize over 500 campus-wide events annually. By joining one of these organizations, students can gain experience in event planning, budget management, leadership, and community organizing.
