Campus Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC)
New York State Education Law (Article 129-A section 6431) requires the president or chief administrative officer of each college that receives financial aid to appoint an advisory committee on campus security.
The law prescribes that the committee shall review current campus security policies and procedures and make recommendations for their improvement. Other items to be reviewed include education, reporting options, and responding to concerns.
The committee shall report, in writing, to the college president or chief administrative officer on its findings and recommendations at least once each academic year, and such report shall be available upon request.
