In order to fulfill the medical requirements for all newly enrolled students, follow these instructions to enter your information in the Health Portal.

If you have a campus emergency, please contact the Campus Response Center (CRC)

Patient Portal - The Vassar College Health Service has transitioned to a new patient portal as of July 1, 2026.  Use the patient Health Portal to upload new student medical forms, self-schedule appointments, access patient educational material, and send secure messages to Health Service staff.

Directed by Margot Schinella, FNP-C, and staffed by a supervising physician, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants. Health Service provides routine and emergent medical care to the Vassar community.

Health Service coordinates with off-campus providers to render care for chronic conditions and makes referrals to local specialists or hospitals when necessary, or upon request.

Baldwin Hall

The Health Service is located in Baldwin Hall. During the academic year, Health Service hours are 9:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 11:00 am - 4.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Appointments can be scheduled during office hours by calling (845) 437-5800 or by scheduling select appointments through the Health Portal. Emergencies and urgent walk-in cases can be accommodated and are prioritized based on acuity.

In case of a medical emergency, call the Campus Response Center (CRC) at (845) 437-7333. They will dispatch Vassar College's New York State certified EMTs and community emergency response resources when needed. A member of the Vassar College Health Service medical staff is also on call after hours for medical consultation.

The Health Service clinic provides holistic healthcare to our campus community. Health promotion and disease prevention are emphasized through a variety of programs. Gynecological and reproductive healthcare services including birth control counseling, IUD placement, STI testing and emergency contraception are available during clinic hours. Similarly, medical lab testing is provided as are therapeutic medications. Some of these services and prescriptions may be provided at a minimal charge.
