Health Alert: Coxsackie Virus (10/16/2017)
We are experiencing a cluster of cases of also known as Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. The illness is typically mild.
It usually presents with fever, runny nose and sore throat followed by a blister-like rash in the hands, feet, and mouth. Symptoms may last several days. A person is contagious until the fever and blister-like lesions disappear.
If you develop any of the above, please call to make appointment to be seen at the health services.
Attention to hygiene is very important to limit spreading. Practice thorough hand washing and avoiding sharing any drinks/utensils or kissing to help prevent illness.
