Every spring the CDO hosts "Senior Week (with the CDO!)" to equip seniors with the resources they can use to prepare for life after Vassar. The week features daily workshops/information sessions and a tabling event in the college center. PLUS, there will be a raffle at each event!

Have you ever wanted to know how many Vassar alumnae/i live in Chicago, work at Google, or went to Yale Law School? Or what alumnae/i who majored in philosophy have gone on to do after graduation? If you want to get in touch with these alumnae/i for career advice and leads but aren’t sure where to start, join us for this workshop! Participants will learn how to leverage LinkedIn and Vassar's Alumnae/i Directory to network their way to success. Come learn how to unlock the Vassar advantage in your job search while enjoying mini empanadas from Twisted Soul! RSVP strongly encouraged.
Negotiating Job Offers & Understanding Benefits | Tues, February 19 | 5 - 6 pm | Rocky 300
Landing a job is exciting, but understanding the terms and conditions of a job offer can be stressful. Written job offers often include confusing terms like "at will employment." Offers will ask you to review and make decisions about the organization's offerings for retirement and health insurance plans, which may be unfamiliar to many students. Susan Smith, Associate Director of Employer Relations with the Career Development Office, and Leslie Power, Manager of Benefit Programs from Human Resources of Vassar College, will guide you through the steps of understanding and negotiating a job offer and the benefits that come with it. This event will feature brownie bites and other goodies. RSVP strongly encouraged.

She'll also address what factors you should consider when selecting the law school you plan to attend.
