Outpatient Visits
The clinical staff of Vassar College Health Service provide a full range of preventive, primary, and acute medical care services. Most student illnesses can be adequately treated on an outpatient basis and we encourage students to call for an appointment in advance whenever possible, although walk-in patients for urgent care are accepted.
All visits and associated medical information is confidential. Information regarding clinic visits, tests, diagnosis, referrals, and conversations with providers cannot be released or given to anyone without written authorization by the student. Parents/guardians and Vassar College administrators will only be contacted without patient authorization if a life-threatening condition exists which poses a danger to self or others.
Scheduling an Appointment
To make an appointment, call (845) 437-5800 during office hours. Most visits can also be self scheduled using our patient portal. Walk-ins are accepted in emergency situations. If you cannot make it at the scheduled time, please call and notify us.
