Gmail Training
Wednesday, October 28th, 2:00-3:00pm, via Zoom
Zoom link will be emailed to registrants prior to the training.
Clear and efficient communication is at the heart of workplace effectiveness. This training will introduce you to both the basics and advanced features of Gmail, equipping you with tools to organize your inbox, manage email flow, and make the most of the platform’s settings and integrations. You will explore strategies for staying on top of messages, reducing clutter, and improving day-to-day communication. This training is open to all Vassar employees.
Mid-Year Feedback Training
Thursday, October 30th 9:30 - 11am, CCMPR (College Center 223)
Join this workshop to help you prepare your mid-year feedback self-evaluation and how to calibrate your goals for the remainder of the academic year. This workshop will include active reflection and drafting time to support participant's completion of a facet of the review process during the session.

New! Diciplinary Conversations
Thursday, November 6th 9:30 - 11am, CCMPR (College Center 223)
Supervisors often face the challenge of conducting difficult conversations regarding performance and conduct. Join us for a workshop on navigating these discussions with consistency and fairness while balancing compliance requirements with fostering employee accountability and growth. Participants will learn how to set clear expectations, and to deliver constructive feedback that identifies key areas for improvement to support long-term performance development. Open to all supervisors.

Join us for a guided tour of the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar. Learn about its history and connect with Loeb staff while learning about the works currently on display.
QPR Suicide Prevention Training for Faculty, Staff and Administrators
Friday November 7th, 12-1pm
QPR is an empirically validated approach to reducing the risk of suicides. In the hour-long training, participants learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to apply three simple steps that may save a life. Facilitated by Wendy Freedman, PhD, Natalia Martinez Munoz Potter, LCSW from the Vassar College Counseling Service and Andrea Pesavento LCSW from Health Promotion and Education
