Resources for Letter Writers Sending Letters to the Vassar Committee
Students and alums applying to medical or dental school can request a letter of evaluation and support from the Vassar Faculty Pre-Health Committee. The committee letter includes letters from individuals who have taught, mentored, supervised, advised, or in any other way been an important part of the applicant's development as they prepared for a career in healthcare. Reading and adhering to the information below helps the committee make best use of your letter and is most helpful to the student.
As a writer, you will receive an email request from the Center for Career Education/Pre-Health Advisor with a link for uploading your letter. The email will tell you if the applicant has waived their rights to read your letter. If you have any questions about the process please contact the office at (845) 473-5285 and ask for Lisa, the Pre-Health Advisor or email prehealth@vassar.edu.
