Vassar Course Units
Vassar College uses the Course Unit as the unit of measurement for academic course credit. Each candidate for the Bachelor of Arts degree is required to complete a minimum of 32 units of work, equivalent to 120 semester hours or 180 quarter hours of credit. Most courses at Vassar are worth one full unit, although there are a few 1/2 unit courses. A full time student takes a minimum of 3 1/2 units per term. Therefore, in converting units to credits, you should use the following scale:
1 Vassar Course Unit = 3.75 Semester Hours
1 Vassar Course Unit = 5.60 Quarter Hours
Prior to the Fall of 2019
