The SAVP Office provides private, confidential survivor-centered support to survivors of sexual assault, relationship abuse, and stalking on campus. Support and advocacy services include:
- Emotional support
- Safety planning
- Assistance and advocacy with formal on and off-campus reporting options
- Support and accompaniment to both on and off-campus appointments
- Assistance with accommodations including:
- Room changes
- Academic accommodations
- No contact orders
- Referrals to both on and off-campus counselors/resources

SAVP Advocates are trained Vassar faculty, administrators, and staff who are available 24/7 to provide survivor-centered advocacy and support for survivors of sexual assault, relationship abuse, and stalking. They will discuss your options with you, even if you are not ready to take any action. They will go over your rights, give you support, and make sure that you have as much control of the process as possible. They can also accompany you, if you wish, to access resources on or off-campus. SAVP Advocates will let you make decisions based on what is safe and comfortable for you.

Vassar College Counseling Service is staffed by psychological counselors who provide confidential assistance to Vassar College students. Services include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, educational programs, consultations, assessments, and referrals to off-campus counseling resources. Counseling staff can assist students with any form of abuse whether it is a recent event or in the past. Phoenix Rising, a support group for survivors of sexual trauma, is offered each semester. If you're interested in being a part of the group, please call the Counseling Service to set up an intake.

To promote safety and security on campus, Vassar College provides a range of services to members of the community and visitors as well. Services include around-the-clock protection by the uniformed, unarmed security force, additional evening and weekend support by the Campus Patrol (student foot patrol), escort and shuttle services during evening hours, and crime prevention programs. Vassar Security can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Baldwin Health Services is staffed by physicians, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses. The Health Service provides routine primary medical care to Vassar students Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Services include, but are not limited to, gynecological exams, contraceptive and general counseling, diagnosis and treatment of infections, emergency contraception, and pregnancy testing.
If you have student health insurance, pregnancy and STI testings are of no cost at the Vassar Health Service. If you are using private insurance, testings may be of no or low cost. Health Services is always available to work with students who cannot afford the costs of testing or medications to explore every option available.
