Are you part of an office, department, or community group that could benefit from Vassar Mobile in-app messages for promoting events, sharing important information, distributing surveys, etc.? Your group can request to send a one-time in-app message (if it meets the requirements) or request the creation of a new specialized opt-in messaging channel and receive direct access and training to send regular messages to app users that opt-in to your messaging channel. If you have any questions about in-app messaging, please contact servicedesk@vassar.edu.

Does your office, department, or community group run special events throughout the year that could benefit from a mobile app experience? Vassar Mobile provides a space to organize various tools, resources, complex agendas, and other apps and deliver in-app messaging to support special events. Over the last few years, there have been 3-4 special in-app events a year on average. New Student Orientation was the most recent special event, executed by the Orientation team after receiving training and direct access to the app platform. The event was a great success with 670+ unique Orientation experience users, 124,000+ general screen views, 35,000+ in-app message screen views, and 26+ sessions per user on average.

"The Vassar Mobile app was an essential part of Orientation 2022. Orientation has a pretty jammed schedule. I would frequently ask students how they knew where to be and when and they would frequently respond by saying "the app" as opposed to relying on the online schedule or emails. The mobile app made it easy to communicate any reminders and updates. I also found the administrator functions easy to use, and when in doubt, CIS made a useful guide."

Luis Inoa, Associate Dean of the College for Residential Life and Wellness
