Performance Reviews in Workday: Carpenters

Dear Carpenters and their Managers,

The annual Performance Review has been initiated and must be completed in Workday by May 15, 2026. Performance reviews help support consistent and clear conversations between supervisors and employees. 

To kick off the process, Human Resources has initiated the Annual Performance Review in Workday. After logging into Workday, Managers will see the task in their Workday inbox titled, “2025-2026 Carpenter Annual Performance Review”. Between today and May 15th, complete the Review process by following the steps outlined below:

  1. The Manager completes the Performance Review in Workday and schedules a meeting before submitting the task.
  2. The Manager and Employee meet. A real-time, face-to-face discussion regarding performance remains essential to the process and is required.
  3. The Manager submits the Review in Workday. 
  4. The Employee acknowledges the Performance Review in Workday.

Evaluation Training

Tuesday, April 21st, 1:00 - 2:30pm, Ordan Room (Main Building, 2nd Floor)
It's common to struggle with the ambiguity of assessment—how do you judge someone's work, and how do you navigate these conversations? In this training, we will demystify the evaluation process, exploring the core components of assessment and teaching you how to define clear, measurable criteria, as well as navigating evaluation meetings with confidence. These skills ensure your evaluations are objective and transparent, leading to more constructive outcomes. Open to managers and supervisors.

Please note: Administrators, Auxiliary Employees, Security Officers, Staff, and their Managers will follow the applicable Performance Review instructions found on the Human Resources website.
