Counseling Service

Vassar College

Join Counseling Service in collaboration with other offices of the Vassar community to engage in monthly conversations on specific or general topics. This is a space where students can share, empower, and support each other. If interested please contact the respective offices below for more information.

Please note: These are not counseling or therapy groups. As a support space, it provides an opportunity for participants to support each other as peers by sharing personal experiences and ideas. When clinical needs arise, participants might be referred to VCCS or other resources for further support.

All conversation hours will be offered in person or on a secure video platform, and will be determined by VCCS Staff and campus partners as appropriate.

International Student Conversations

Join VCCS and OIS in this support space. Please contact the Office of International Students (OIS) Director Andrew Meade anmeade@vassar.edu for more information.

In Our Own Voices

Join VCCS and the Jeh Johnson ALANA Cultural Center in this community support space. Please contact ALANA Director Nicole Beveridge nbeveridge@vassar.edu for more information.

Survivor Community Space

Survivor Community Space is a three part series where survivors can build connections and receive non-therapeutic support while engaging in healing-centered wellness activities. We define survivors as anyone who has experienced sexual violence, assault, harassment, stalking, relationship abuse, or another form of interpersonal violence.

You can contact Robin Shutinya robinshutinya@vassar.edu or Rachel Gellert rgellert@vassar.edu for more information.
