Fellowships

Vassar College

Application for Funds (29KB)

The Academic Enrichment Fund provides financial support for individual students for academic work, with a strong preference for work related to a specific for-credit project. Typical projects are research projects, thesis work, senior projects, field work, and independent study. The expenses covered may include travel expenses, conference fees, entrance fees, production costs, and other such expenses. Priority will be given to projects that take place during the academic year. If human participants are involved in your research, you must provide evidence of exemption or approval by the Institutional Review Board (IRB).

The Academic Enrichment Fund will not support any expenses associated with tuition- or fee-based programs.

The Dean of Studies Office will not fund travel to or study in any area (country or part of country) that is under U.S. State Department Travel Advisory level 3 or 4.

Students pursuing international travel are strongly encouraged to review the U.S. State Department Travel Advisory and the Centers for Disease Control Travel Health Notice for their destination country and to follow the State Department’s Traveler’s Checklist. Those who are U.S. citizens or nationals are strongly encouraged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).

Recipients of Vassar grant funds will be asked to provide a written report and/or a note to the donors of the Fund at the completion of their project.
