First-year students may find the following list of useful items to be helpful. Also, view the list of prohibited items.
- linens for Twin XL bed
- alarm clock
- laundry supplies
- cleaning supplies
- clothes hangers
- desk lamp
- toiletries
- prescription / first aid items
- bathrobe
- phone
- wattage adapters (for international students)
- athletic equipment
- musical instruments
- computer
- bookshelf
- small fan
- mattress pad
- wall hangings (to be hung with Painter’s Tape only)
- refrigerator (may not exceed 5 cubic ft.)
- television / VCR/DVD (you may bring one, but cable service is not available in the rooms)
Only allowed with auto shut-off:
- surge protector(s)
- extension cord that has a built-in fuse or circuit breaker
- coffee pot / hot pot (must have a reasonable automatic shut-off time that will be determined by the Office of Residential Life)
Note: You may not remove any of the furniture from your room.
